03/01/11 - 2011 Sales Convention in Montreal
OUR TEAMBUILDING EVENT IN MONTREAL
Some 150 employees from Lyreco volunteered their time to spruce-up the Sun Youth Building in Montreal on January 13th during a teambuilding activity organized at our 2011 Sales Convention. Our sales representatives were working hand in hand to improve the Sun Youth building. They were cleaning, painting and reorganizing the space in order to offer a better environment for the underprivileged Montrealers that the organization has been supporting since 1954 with a wide range of services.

Everybody worked tirelessly all afternoon, doing everything from washing windows and floors to building and fixing furniture, but there was also a party atmosphere in the air. We combined fun and work with the various games and friendly competitions that had been planned for the teams throughout the day (such as hula-hoop challenges). Good work everyone!!


04/20/10 - COMPANY PARTNERSHIP/EARLY CHILDHOOD/EDUCATION
LYRECO SUPPORTS THE EDUCATION OF YOUNG CHILDREN AROUND THE WORLD
As part of the “Lyreco For Education” program, Lyreco, an international supplier of office products, supports the education of children in developing countries. “The Lyreco For Education program originated from our belief that education is a strong lever in development. Through Lyreco For Education and the firm actions we take, we commit ourselvesto the long term support of education for children throughout the world” states Eric Bigeard - Lyreco CEO.

Every year, Lyreco For Education supports a project in a different country. In 2009, Lyreco established a partnership with AEA a Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO) for the development through education to support the education of young children in North Vietnam. This partnership financed a project which supported nursery schools located in the Phu Luong district in North Vietnam enabling a better start in life for these young children. For this occasion, Lyreco called on all its employees, suppliers and customers to join its efforts in raising money for the project and added one extra euro for every euro donated by its employees.

IMPEGA TO LYRECO
Lyreco, ranked amongst the first worldwide distributor of office supplies, has announced the change of name for its range of private label products from Impega to Lyreco.

Impega is one of the most powerful European office products brand. Having first been launched in the French market over 40 years ago, it is now a market leader in many European markets. The clear goal of the change is to simply reinforce the strength of the Lyreco brand by extending the loyalty on products to the company.

The Lyreco range will maintain the already market-leading quality/price levels. In that way, Impega Premium, Impega and Impega budget will become Lyreco Premium, Lyreco and Lyreco Budget. The recently launched external product quality testing programme will continue to be extended across this full range.

The complete changeover from Impega to Lyreco will be finalised in the 2010 catalogue, leaving 18 months to manage the progressive switch.

Lyreco’s product proposition remains unchanged meaning Lyreco will continue to encourage and develop the sale of leading manufacturer brands.
