LYRECO WINS THE EUROPEAN OFFICE PRODUCTS AWARD IN THECORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY CATEGORY
On January 30th 2012, more than 350 guests were present at the prestigious annual awards dinner, which is organized by OPI during Paperworld in Frankfurt.
 
The Corporate Social Responsibility award was then received by Steve Law – Lyreco CEO.
 
The entries have been judged by a panel of office products industry executives, including 3M, Avery, Brother, Esselte, Fellowes, Pilot, Quantore and OPI.
 
The short listed companies for the award were: BIC, Esselte, Lyreco, Office Team, Staples.
 
The assessment criteria and elements taken into account by the judges were:

•          The CSR programmes, practices and policies that enhance the company as a socially and environmentally aware operation.
•          The steps taken to develop a more responsible corporate culture. This could be green initiatives, educational/motivational initiatives for staff or customers, training etc.
•          The additional schemes to improve the operational impact. For example, community initiatives, joint ventures with local governments and NGOs, etc.
•          The effective monitoring of our CSR initiatives.
 
Through its press release, OPI said “Judges praised Lyreco as a company that lives, works and breathes its approach to CSR, consistent in everything it does”.
 
This award is for sure a source of pride for all Lyreco staffs who contribute on a daily basis to our Sustainability strategy.

LYRECO RECOGNIZES EXCELLENCE AT ITS ‘2011 SUPPLIER AWARDS DINNER’

Lyreco rewards its top suppliers at its annual ceremony, which brings together Lyreco’s key suppliers.
On May 10th, Lyreco rewarded its best suppliers at the ‘Supplier of the Year Awards Dinner’. This event is the pinnacle of a long evaluation process put in place in order to judge the marketing and logistical performance of its suppliers.

The Awards were issued across seven categories and were handed out by Brent Milburn , Managing Director of Lyreco in Canada and Marc Chochoy, Lyreco’s Marketing Director

 - Best Marketing: Pentel
 - Best EOS (Electronic Office Supplies): Westpoint Products Canada Inc.
 - Best Paper: Supremex
 - Best GOP (General Office Supplies): Crestar Limited
 - Best Improvement: Targus
